Photograph caption dated May 16, 1984 reads, "Magic Johnson didn't go to the basket much last night; he was too busy passing off for an NBA single-game playoff record of 24 assists." This game was the second of six of the Western Conference Finals games between the Phoenix Suns and the Lakers, who won the series. The Lakers went on to play the in the NBA Finals for the 1983-1984 season, but were defeated by the Boston Celtics.
