Description: The L. A. Conservatory of Music and Arts in 1883. The Conservatory was founded in 1883 and was still in existence 75 years later. Located at 406 South Main Street, the building would have been at 506 South Main Street after the change in street addresses in 1890. The 1890 City Directory lists the president as Emily J. Valentine.
