Title
Det var praktisk for missionen at have sit hovedkvarter i denne store by. Her havde missionær-familierne Bittmann og Heiberg deres virke, og her arbejdede L. P. Larsen, 1889-1910.

Description
The DMS House, Rundall's Rd 14, Vepery, Madras/Chennai. The house was purchased in 1878, served as a residence of missionaries, and 1968-1973 as the Women Students Christian Hostel. It was demolished in 1980 to give way for the Working Women's Hostel. Since Herman Jensen began his work in Madras around 1880, many Danish missionaries have worked from this house. It was convenient for the Mission to have the headquarters in such a big city. The Missionary families Bittmann and Heiberg worked from here, and so did L. P. Larsen from 1889 to 1910. The importance of the city as headquarters has now diminished, but the congregation is still there.
