Description: Bob Hoover. Caption: "...winged career." He is shown with a small private airplane, though the plane was cut out of the photo used in the newspaper. Called a "pilot's pilot," he was a former test pilot and fighter pilot (USAF) who became an airshow and stunt pilot.
