It is a two-lane paved road, and many automobiles can be seen driving on the road, as well as parked on the shoulders and in nearby parking lots. The wide, sandy beach is visible at right, and a throng of people can be seen at center near a parking lot. In the foreground at left, several small shops and other buildings can be seen. Legible signs include, from left: "Sandwiches", "Fireworks", "Soda", "Ballantynes", "Volkman's Barbecue", "Bath House", "Rite Spot Barbecue", and "State Beach Dedication Here July 8".
