Photograph of two men caring for an ostrich at an ostrich farm in California, ca.1900. The back of the ostrich can be seen while the head can be seen poking out through the slots in the wooden fence it faces. A man in a nice vest and hat faces the ostrich, handling the long, lightly-colored feathers on the short wing on the left. A second man does the same to the wing on the right and covers his face with the lightly-colored feathers.
