Photograph caption dated December 10, 1953 reads, "Actress Dorothy Lamour helped actress Kay Williams after alleged beating, ready to testify in her behalf." Adolph Spreckles II was accused of beating wife Kay Williams so severely that she was hospitalized for ten days. The trial took place at the Santa Ana courthouse.
