A man and two women stand next to a burnt out car overlooking the fire damage. This image is part of a collection of prints that documents the devastation of the "Newton" wildfire that raged on December 26, 1956. The fire scorched the area between Kanan and Decker Canyons and sent residents fleeing to the beach. In total, the fire burned 26,000 acres, including 100 homes, and caused one death.
