Photograph caption, dated November 11, 1988, reads, "A 22-foot-tall ironworker dwarfs passing mother and baffled child in front of new condominium project in Wilshire corridor. "The American Craftsman," 70-ffot-long mural picturing three workmen forging, chiseling and welding condo foundation, was created by artist Bryan Hayden and is intended to salute all workers as well as shield the real ones behind it."
