Description
Jon Bradshaw discusses his book, “Dreams that Money Can Buy.” He begins by explaining that his book is a biography of the singer and actress Libby Holman. He talks about her Broadway aspirations at a young age. He discusses how her husband was killed in their home, and her career was ruined after she was accused of the murder. Bradshaw discusses the death of men in Holman’s life including her second husband’s suicide and the death of her son while mountain climbing. He talks about how his life has changed after researching Holman and that he got a chance to talk to people who knew her. He ends the interview by discussing her relationship with abusive men, drugs, and alcohol.
