Blåt var længe skolefarven, som blev brugt overalt, også i de små skoler. The North Western Diocese, Tanzania, 1984. The first time students at Ntoma Home Craft School receive their school uniforms is a day to remember. Here is a group in their uniforms with blue skirts. Blue was the colour of schools, and it was used everywhere, also in primary schools. However, during the 1980s there was a shortage of dye in Tanzania, so the government ordered all schools to have grey uniforms. The uniforms can be a great advantage as they even out all differences. The Ntoma students come from various backgrounds, but with the school uniform they are all at the same level.
