In 1960, the North Hollywood YMCA became the East Valley YMCA.
Photograph caption dated February 16, 1955 reads, "Representatives of Valley YMCA left today for Sacramento to attend the Model Legislature in session tomorrow through Saturday. Shown above, left to right, are Gerry Hurdy, senator; Brad Perry, reporter; Tom Chasin, sergeant-at-arms in Senate; Frank Sullivan, president of the North Hollywood Optimist Club, sponsors of the group; Ann Arnold, assemblywoman and author of the measure on monorail to be introduced by the North Hollywood group; Kent Allender, delegate-in-training and session reporter for the Valley Times, and Jack Anderson, North Hollywood YMCA secretary".
