Hajime Masuzumi, born December 1, 1911 in Bettervaria, California. His father and mother's occupations are listed as cook, his father age 36 and mother age 29. A medical doctor was attending the birth. Certification of birth record prepared by the County of Santa Barbara recorder, Iris Covarrubias. Signed by the deputy recorder, Pauline S. Austin.
