Photograph caption dated March 6, 1958 reads, "Paul Pierce, honorary mayor of Tarzana, is first to sign safety scroll prepared by Tarzana Business and Professional Women's Club as part of their safety project. The document, listing safety features for automobiles will be presented to all BPW clubs for signatures and eventually to the State. Watching 'his honor' affix his name, from left, are Theresa Fro Morris, Tarzana BPWC president; officer Kenneth D. Reaber, West Valley division LAPD; Mmes. Martha Owens, health and safety chairman and Jeanne Powell, public relations chairman, Tarzana BPWC."
