Photograph caption dated September 28, 1963 reads, "Storybook characters come to life for benefit - Dressed in costumes from the storybook world, members and guests of the San Fernando Florence Crittenton Circle gathered in the Castwaway Restaurant, Burbank, for the group's annual ball. Proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Florence Crittenton Home for Unwed Mothers. Mrs. Don Hutchings, secretary, and her husband, left photo, came as characters from the 'Flintstone' era. Pirate days attracted the Bill Bonellis and the Dick Crees, next photo, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Swett, San Fernando, decided to be the farmer and his wife.
