Description: Engraved map, 55.3 x 46.6, in Nouveau Théâtre du monde, Amsterdam, 1639. Of Briggs type. The copy I describe is without name of maker or printer and came from the 1639 edition of the atlas. It must have been engraved by Henricus Hondius shortly after 1630, if not in that year.
