Description
Photo caption reads: "Caroll O. Wheeler, Northrop flight test instrumentation man, points to tracks of a two-wheeled cart and cleft hoofprint of an oxen (arrows) at Northrop Aircraft's Edwards Air Force Base facility. Blasts of jet engines on F-89 Scorpion interceptors had blown away lakebed sand to reveal the tracks in solidified sandstone. Tracks apparently were left by a Spanish ox-drawn carreta and its oxen."
