Description
Bound in textured, black leather. The title, "Joan and Bess," is embossed on the cover in gold lettering, and a fleur-de-lis graphic element is embossed above that. The number "20" is affixed to top of spine with glue. Photographs are of Jack London and his daughters Joan and Bess (Becky), at various ages, at the beach and at their home in Oakland.
Surface color is worn away on much of cover, especially at edges of spine. Pages 34-94 are blank.
