Photograph was edited for publication purposes Bolton Hall, built in 1913, was originally used as a community center for the Utopian community of Los Terrenitos. From 1920 until 1957, it was used as an American Legion hall, the San Fernando Valley's second public library, Tujunga City Hall, and a jail. The building sat vacant while the battle to preserve it lasted for more than twenty years. Since 1980, Bolton Hall has been operated by the Little Landers Historical Society as a local history museum. It is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural monument and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (No. 71000159). Photograph caption dated July 21, 1964 reads "Department of Recreation and Parks General Manager William Frederickson Jr. reminds Mrs. Cora Corrigan that it's time to yield the floor to the next speaker in Bolton Hall controversy last night as she spoke in favor of restoration."
