Simmons, pastor of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church in North Hills, were bombed while they were at a meeting. Los Angeles police launched a large-scale search early February 2, 1962 for terror bombers who, just hours before, attacked the homes of these San Fernando Valley ministers.
