Caption from July 22, 1989 Sacramento Bee reads "Bob Robinson, 70, of Lakewood, took time out from reminiscing to examine a two-seat liaison aircraft in the air museum at McClellan." "Bob Robinson, 70, Lakewood, CA retired Lt Col. USAF, one of the P-47 Thunderbolt pilots gathered at McClellan for a reunion this weekend examines a "grasshopper," a two-seat liaison aircraft used primarily by army ground forces for spotting enemy artillery and training guider pilots at the McClellan aviation museum. The group toured the aviation museum."
