Description
Photograph caption reads, "Babe Ruth, famous 'King of Klouters,' is shown gazing ruefully at the finger which may ruin his chances to break his home run record and cost the Yankees an American league pennant. The Bambino tore the nail from the injured digit recently when he attempted to make a difficult catch against a wire fence in the outfield. The Babe, however, said that he had a hunch he would crack the homer mark in spite of his hurt finger." Photograph dated July 9, 1930.
