L. P. Bischoff was Captain of the gunboat USS Tutuila between July 15, 1930 and July 1, 1931, as part of the US Navy's Yangzi River patrol, and of the destroyer USS Bulmer from July 1931 to March 1932. The articles here are entitled 1) "Club to hear L.P. Bischoff," 2) "Relates experiences as gunboat commander in China before Kiwanis," 3) "Action on Yangtze," and 4) Naval officer will address Reserve group."
