Description
Photograph of a view of Marchessault Street in Los Angeles's Chinatown, looking west towards City Hall, November 1933. Marchessault can be seen at left and is unpaved. Several tall brick buildings can be seen along the side of the road at right. The buildings appear to be run-down, and large amounts of debris and litter can be seen in front of them. Three trucks can be seen at left. In the background at left, the tall tower of City Hall is visible. Trees at left indicate the position of the Plaza. The Sepulveda House and Pelanconi House are at right. A second photo sleeve reads "Olivera Street looking north from Macy, April 2, 1928. See 35166".
