Description
"Gnadenthal. Die Werf von Osten." ("Genadendal. The mission premises from the east."). The picture shows some dwellings in the foreground and the mission station in the centre. A wood, hills and a mountain are in the background. Imprinted on the image: "2172".
The word "Werf" is a term taken from Afrikaans meaning "premises" or "yard". -- Small color faults on the left and right margins.
