Photograph caption dated May 16, 1961 reads "San Fernando High's phenomenal Larry Balance, left, shot Balboa yesterday in 69, and has been playing golf less than a year, during East Valley League golf match against Poly. He is seen with teammate Billy Schmidt, who carded a sparkling 75 also at Balboa." Balboa Golf Course is also known as Sepulveda Golf Course and is located in Encino.
