Photograph caption dated January 17, 1969 reads, "Window outside the room in Campbell Hall where the shooting took place. Broken out pane is thought to a possible escape route for killer." UCLA students and Black Panther members, John Jerome Huggins, 23, and Alprentice (Bunchy) Carter, 26, were shot to death at the conclusion of a meeting regarding a proposed black studies program.
