Aerial view of Edwin Markham Junior High, located at 1650 E. 104th Street in the Watts section of Los Angeles; view is looking slightly southeast. Ground was broken on January 22, 1956 and the architect was William H. Harrison. Compton Avenue is middle left to middle right; 104th Street is middle left, curving to lower left; Grandee Avenue is middle left to mid-photo, and railroad tracks run from middle left to top left. The Pacific Electric Watts Line runs from middle left to top left and middle left to top right corner; the Pacific Electric car house is at left. Photograph was taken for William H. Harrison (the school architect). Photograph dated October 23, 1957.
