Description
This 1907 postcard offers a full-color view of the Governor's Mansion, at the intersection of Sixteenth Street and H Street. The 23-room structure was built in 1877 upon a semi-rural lot by local contractor Uriah Reese and designed by architect N.D. Goodell who offered a melange of Classical, Victorian, and Gothic concepts.
