Description
(Left to right): Walther Mayer, Alfred Joy, Albert Einstein, Charles St. John, Walter Adams, Edwin Hubble, and Arthur King on the porch of the Monastery, Mount Wilson Observatory. The Monastery served as a dormitory for visiting scientists. An exterior wall with windows is seen behind Mayer and Joy, at the far left. A porch pillar is seen at teh far right, blocking the full view of Arthur S. King. Mayer, Joy, and King are standing; Einstein, St. John, Adams and Hubble are seated.
