Description
Garrick writes an amiable letter to Moody on the subject of a turtle given as a gift. In a postscript, Garrick states that he has found a theatre part for which Moody would be well suited. Garrick refers to the character of Major O' Flaherty in the play "The West Indian." Notes with letter suggest that the letter was written in 1770. Letter contains a watermark, wax seal, secondhand notations, and a postage mark. Image four scan has been rotated 90 degrees to the right.
