Description
Campo de Cahuenga Historic Monument is the site of the signing of the Treaty of Cahuenga in January 1847. The building's facade is a replica of the adobe that stood on the site at the time of the signing. Verso of the photo states that it is the site of the 9th annual Campo de Cahuenga Summer Concert held in the courtyard. The concert is presented under the auspices of the Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department with entertainment provided by the Mexican Tipica Orchestra. The event is co-sponsored by the Bureau of Music and Local 47, American Federation of Musicians. Photo dated: Aug. 25, 1959.
