Description
Betty Nishimura arrived in Whittier in 1954. She faced more racial prejudice upon her arrival in California than she had during her upbringing in Hawaii, even during Pearl Harbor. She tells the story of Pearl Harbor in great detail, and explains what her childhood in Hawaii was like.
