Photograph of a Vischer drawing of Mission Santa Cruz as it appeared in 1828, 1878. The mission is at center, and its steeple is clearly visible, topped by a single large cross. There is a small group of mounted men in the foreground, and a cluster of domed houses at right. There is a small squat building in the lower right corner of the image. The words "Santa Cruz 1828" are written at the bottom of the image.
