Description
In June 1983, six Contra soldiers line up side by side as they point their weapons. Some of them are holding Belgian FN FAL assault rifles and others are holding Soviet Kalashnikov rifles. The Contra at the bottom of the image is wearing a black beret while the rest are wearing olive-green colored caps. In the background of the image are the mountains of the Nicaraguan countryside. They are all members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Forces (FDN in Spanish), known informally as "Contras." En junio de 1983, seis soldados contra forman fila mientras apuntan sus fusiles. Uno de ellos sostiene fusiles FN FAL de origen belga y otros sostienen fusiles Kalashnikov de origen soviético.
