Photograph caption dated February 27, 1957 reads "Driver, unaware that Chandler boulevard has been made one-way street from Van Nuys to North Hollywood, turns in wrong lane at Ethel avenue. Despite newly posted arrows pointing out that Chandler is one way east bound on south side of dividing strip and one way west bound on north side of divider, many drivers continue to get confused, police said."
