Photograph caption dated April 30, 1956 reads "When the annual Catalina Island Grand Prix sponsored by the American Motorcycle Association is held Saturday and Sunday these Valley riders are expected to be bidders for cycling glory. From the left in spearhead formation they are Howard Barnes, Larry Harness, Tex Luce, Red Harrison, Bob Walker and Russ Manning. All are from North Hollywood except Barnes who hails from Burbank."
