Elizabeth Handy's photography work featured in the Spring 2003 publication of the Camellia Journal. The article in which Elizabeth Handy's photography work appears concerns the welfare programs of the Camellia Group--in particular, the construction of the Camellia Duncan Foundation Hospital by the Duncan Brothers. It proceeds to note how the Bangladeshi War of Independence devastated the country's tea industry, and how, following a rebound in the tea market, Duncan decided to invest in better housing, water supplies, and health care for its employees. The tea workers are able to receive care beyond surgical operations at the hospital, including gynaecological, obstetric, and radiological care, among other services. In addition, the hospital also monitors and identifies disease patterns in the workers, especially cancer.
