Photograph caption dated July 20, 1965 reads, "Artist Simon Rodia died on July 17, but in the famed towers of Watts which he spent 33 years to build, he lives on. At memorial services with the towers in the background are, from left: Brenda Saville, Chairman of the Committee for Simon Rodia Towers; J.J. Beljon, a sculptor from The Hague, Holland; and N.J. Goldstone."
