Report from Commander Edward V. Dockweiler to the Bureau of Personnel, Navy Department, Washington, D.C. with enclosure of a letter of commendation by Colonel Roger Hilsman, U.S.A., providing details of Edward Dockweiler's U.S. Navy service in the Philippines until his capture in June 1942, and his internment as a prisoner of war in various camps in Japan until his liberation in September 1945.
