Description: Taken in 1934, this aerial photograph captures the W.F. Knox lumber yard, located to the west of Mather Field in eastern Sacramento County. Knox was one of eleven yards found throughout the County, employing - in the early 1930s - some 350 workers with a payrole of 800,000 dollars. Knox's Sacramento offices were located at Front and W Streets.
