Description: The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on July 7, 1963 states: Forgotten Grave - The remains of William B. Ide , first and only president of the Bear Flag Republic, lie somewhere in this neglected cemetery about three miles north of Ord Bend, Glenn County. Although the exact burial spot is not known, someone in recent years placed this marker with Ide's name in the cemetery."
