Description
View is looking northeast up Janss Steps, as the U.C.L.A. Westwood campus opens in 1929. The steps were donated to U.C.L.A. by Harold and Edwin Janss, the developers of Westwood. It was constructed in 1928-29 and designed by architect George W. Kelham. The twin towers of Royce Hall appear in the background. This building was built in 1928-29 in a northern Italian Romanesque Revival style, designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. View 2: shows groups of people walking down Janss Steps.
