Description
Photograph of men standing on and next to a giant redwood tree in the Converse section of Kings Canyon National Park, ca.1900. There are thirty-one men near the tree, dressed in a variety of clothes, although all of them have long pants, long sleeves, and hats. Most of them are empty-handed, but two men at right are holding rifles, and several others are holding various sticks and pinecones. The tree they are standing near dwarfs them, and it bears a plaque that reads "Boole". There are more redwoods in the background.
