Caption reads: " A $190,000 span over the South Fork of the American River at Lotus, one mile west of Coloma, El Dorado County, is scheduled to be opened to traffic Saturday. In addition to the concrete and steel bridge, the state division of highways constructed half a mile of road to eliminate turns to the approaches on state route 49."
