Photograph of African-American men moving bales of cotton in an unidentified location, 1920-1930. In the foreground at right, there are many randomly stacked cotton bales, while at left, hundreds of bales are neatly stacked in rows. At center, a group of five or six men is using a wooden hoist to move a bale of cotton. More men can be seen standing among the bales at right. All of the workers are wearing broad-brimmed hats and long pants. A large building can be seen in the distance at left.
