Photograph caption dated March 21, 1963 reads "Bound to be heard from again as runners are these three Valley milers shown holding trophies for a job already well done. From left, they are Duane Green of San Fernando High, first; Ken Kohon, Polytechnic, second, and Jerry Olson, Monroe, third. They finished in this order recently under impossible rain-hail conditions in the Poly Relays which rewarded them with the Valley Times TODAY trophies they are so proudly displaying."
