McCaffery was a postmodern literary critic and professor at San Diego State University who was known for his interviews with important experimental writers. In this interview he speaks with Lyn Hejinian, a respected American poet who grew up in San Francisco and was a major figure of the Language movement. She discusses her Russian translations, her writing process and technique, and the Language School.
