Photograph caption dated July 24, 1956 reads "Ric Warren, who was a standout star for last season's North Hollywood High School baseball club, will be on the starter's firing line for the North Hollywood Legion nine when it meets Santa Maria in the opening of the Sixth Area playoffs Thursday at Sawtelle. The stylish southpaw pitcher has been having a good season with the 20th district champion Legion club."
