Description
A cabinet studio photograph of a group of women in military-like stage costumes, Old Mission Studio, circa 1900s. The view shows the ten ladies wearing tricorner hats, jackets with two rows of gold buttons and rope and tassels draped across the front, waist sashesm white trousers and dark shoes. They stand on a floor covered in plain fabric pieces in front of a vague backdrop. This might have been a pageant or other event for French-speaking Angelenos, but there is no identification. With a tear at the bottom edge of the matte, foxing and light soiling and some edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
